Had Walker Outdoor Solutions redo our deck with modern rebar flair railings and couldn't be happier with the results. JJ and the team were professional throughout the entire process and completed the work exactly on schedule. The modern rebar design gives our deck a sleek, contemporary look that's exactly what we were hoping for. We hired JJ and Walker Outdoor Solutions for a hot tub paver pad and a walking path from our driveway to the backyard. This also included designing and building a set of stairs to the current screened porch. JJ met with us to discuss designs and paver choices to match with our existing color scheme on our home. The project ended up being a pretty big job as we also had Walker LLC rip out our old outdated plastic landscape edging (around the entire house) and replace it with new bullet pavers. Everything looks so clean and just fantastic! We are extremely happy with the final product!

We hired Walker for two diverse projects- the first was a substantial paver project. Patio, walkway and fire pit plus new mulch in the garden and pavers laid down to replace the cheap black vinyl border. This was a fairly complex install that required that a very large amount of pavers be cut and shaped to present a more organic look and I have included two images of the completed project that we are very pleased with as you can see from the two images I’ve included. The second project following was a complete repaint of our house and garage. We decided to change the color of the house and trim that only took Walker and crew one day to complete. I left for work with a brown house and come home to a light olive house with cream trim and this was also performed with excellent results. Highly recommend Walker Place Labor for all of your home projects.
JJ is hard-working, industrious, and has integrity. Go to him for a job well done! He’s young and motivated. And he has an Instagram! I may not be a past customer, but I am certainly a potential future customer.

I hired Walker Place to stain my aging deck and they made it look like new. “JJ” showed up on time, worked hard and did an excellent job. I was happy to see he used “Cabot”, a high quality stain. I would recommend Walker Place LLC.

They truly transformed my yard and garden beds that were taking over by weeds! I bought my house in snowy months and had no clue what I was in for with the yard, assumed it was grass, but was quickly proved wrong when the thick weeds were EVERYWHERE and grew quicker than I could manage. 2 years of dealing with insane weeds that wouldn’t leave (no matter what sprays, pulling, or cutting i did) I decided to bite the bullet and wanted no maintenance. JJ came out and did the estimate, and was so willing to work within a financial budget and had no issues talking about adding things into the yard in the coming years. There was clear communication and project updates daily. From the time I confirmed the estimate and the project was complete it was only 3 days! 10/10 would recommend Walker Outdoor!
We had JJ and his crew out a couple of time for repairs. The first time was to replace rotting deck boards, the second time was to have him replace panels and rotting cedar on our privacy fence, and he also power washed our patio and other retaining walls. He and his crew were respectful and did a great job, and would definitely recommend.

Walker Outdoor Solutions (JJ Martin) did an excellent job of demolishing an old timber retaining wall, cleaning up the mess, and installing a new concrete block retaining wall. I highly recommend Walker Outdoor Solutions -- an eye for detail, gets the job done, and at a fair price.
We had Walker replace a failing fence with a new 6ft privacy fence. JJ is a dedicated hard worker & a great communicator. It was a pleasure working with JJ and his crew - will be calling on them again in the future!

From the start he was friendly, helpful, reliable, always did a great job, and was dedicated to what he was doing. He also re-stained my deck one year and I was so happy with that, too! We hired Walker Outdoor Solutions and JJ back in 2023 to replace a crumbling retaining wall in our backyard near our pool. It was a project that looked small but with the amount of old railroad ties to be removed, earth to be moved, plants to be moved and replanted and weight of stone to be brought in we knew it wouldn’t be an easy one. JJ was very responsive, provided a fair quote, scheduled us in without over promising on timeline (which I feel like can be a huge issue these days), and did a wonderful job ok the project! Going into the project we thought we knew what we wanted and JJ provided some suggestions that he thought would make it look nicer, these suggestions didn’t increase the price of our bid at all, and indeed it looks way better than we could have thought. 2 years later we still love our backyard retaining wall! We have sent JJs name to friends and family across the twin cities because he is attentive to his clients, is a very hard worker (especially for his age!) and does phenomenal work. Can’t wait to have him back for more projects!

JJ and his crew did a great job on two retaining walls and set of block stairs. He kept up with communication at each step and had creative solutions when we ran into any problems in the process (we had some wonky measurements with the stairs, and the walls each needed extra finesse in the planning). It was a huge investment for my family and we felt comfortable with JJ, knowing he’d get the job done and wasn’t scared of some hiccups. I appreciate his genuine, relationship-based approach to business and we are having him out again next week to talk about another project. Thank you JJ!

JJ is great! He recently re built deck stairs for us — he had great ideas to expand the landing, and put them farther forward which made a huge difference in ease of use for our backyard.
