About Walker Outdoor Solutions | Decks and Landscaping
Walker Outdoor Solutions | Decks and Landscaping
Walker Outdoor Solutions | Decks and Landscaping started as a ‘kid next door’ landscaping and carpentry service. Owner, JJ Martin—a Minnetonka native and graduate of Hopkins High School—developed a love for serving his community through construction and property maintenance during his high school years. He learned the skills his clients needed and never shied away from taking on new challenges. Over time, he built expertise in carpentry, landscaping, grading, drainage, staining, painting, planting, and more.
Now, with over five years of experience in the outdoor construction and maintenance industry, Walker Outdoor Solutions | Decks and Landscaping has grown from humble beginnings into a trusted name. JJ and his team have learned valuable lessons along the way and are ready to bring their expertise to your next project.
Our clients love us
Here's some of what they had to say
I unexpectedly met JJ from Walker Outdoor Solutions and feel so incredibly lucky! He and his wonderful team took care of my lawn with expert care and courtesy. I would highly recommend anyone living in the Minneapolis/Twin Cities area to check them out!
The team was great to work with on our concrete driveway addition and aggregate pad for our shed in Crystal! They were responsive, organized, and delivered a high quality finished result.
JJ at Walker Solutions and his crew did an excellent job of repair, cleaning and staining on our outdoor stairway and deck in Minnetonka. JJ is flexible and worked with us on all the finishing details. We highly recommend him.

"We initially wanted to have a fence replaced and got a quote from Walker Outdoor Solutions. JJ gave us a quote, but then offered to give us quotes on the patio project we told him we were interested in eventually doing. After listening to our wants and wishes and getting a competitive quote, we decided to do both the fence and patio projects with JJ. The experience was great! JJ really listened and delivered a quality product for us. Our old deck was removed and a concrete patio was poured to replace it, including stairs from our sliding door. Our old fence was removed and hauled away and replaced with cedar pickets and PostMaster fence posts. With all of the attention to using lasting materials, we’re excited to use our new outdoor space here in Minnetonka for years to come. We’re extremely pleased with the end result and would highly recommend Walker Outdoor Solutions. With JJ’s attention to our wants and wishes, we really felt respected as clients and not just numbers. Photos with the deck are the original setup. Fence, concrete patio, and the stairs are what Walker Outdoor Solutions were able to build for us to make the outdoor space safer and more manageable."
